The Hotel Room Problem

Here's what a typical hotel stay looks like: you check into a 300 sq ft room with a bed, a TV, and a mini fridge that holds exactly four small bottles of water. You eat every meal out because there's nowhere to cook. You pack for every day of your trip because there's no laundry. And when you're not sleeping, you're either sitting on the bed or leaving the room because there's nowhere else to be.

Cook When You Want To

Every suite at The District has a full kitchen. Every suite has its own washer and dryer. Not a shared laundry room down the hall — your own machines, in your suite, ready when you are. This changes packing fundamentally. A week-long trip becomes a carry-on. A two-week work assignment doesn't require a second checked bag. Wash your workout clothes after the gym. Wash the kids' clothes after a day at Discovery Green.

For marathon runners, this is a game-changer. Wash your race gear right after you cross the finish line. No plastic bag of sweaty clothes sitting in your suitcase for the flight home.

Space to Actually Live

Our suites start at 700 sq ft and go up to 1,600 sq ft. That's two to three times the size of a standard hotel room. You get a separate living area with a couch, a dining table where you can eat or work, a full kitchen, and a bedroom you can close off from the rest of the suite. It's an apartment, not a room.

Spread out your laptop on the dining table. Let the kids play in the living area while you make dinner. Have a glass of wine on the couch after a show without sitting on the edge of your bed. This is what traveling should feel like.
